Frohlocker’s third maxi, as usual released on Galopp Records. The track consists of dominant, dubby brass and a rock’n’roll like briskly beat. The maxi further features three very diverse and independent remixes, altogether covering a wide range of musical styles.
Protassov (Switchstance Recordings), who entered the scene with his LP “Shalina Music” and the associated wonderful „Steam & Oil EP“, adds a distorted organ to Hipbrass and thus makes it a rare groove tune. On the other side, Paul SG’s Broken Mix provides some more BPM and heads for Liquid Drum’n’Bass. Searching for a competent DnB remixer, Vienna based Paul SG has proved being an innovative and professional mind. Well known in the scene already, future will be inevitably connected to his name.
Pepe Le Moko, who became a well known duo through their “Resense” mashers, got an MC on board for their Whine Up Wild Remix: Dreadeye. As a team they make Hipbrass a dancehall tune, pure ear candy.
